Currently, that is Aileen You’ll need ask for 2 things:

Your IP address The password for the WiFi network

Your IP address is essentially your address on the network

Just like you need a mailing address to get your mail, the IP address lets websites know where to find you

Your IP address will look like this 192.168.1.XX XX will be the only variable. Each person will

have a different number here.

Next, lets get connected to the internet

First step, make sure the switch on the outside of the computer is on the right side. This is your WiFi switch. It will activate/deactivate your WiFI.

Useful if you need to save power while using the SMARTboard

Make sure this switch is on the right side

Once it’s on, look at the right bottom part of your screen:

Look for this icon:

Right click here and choose open network connections

This window will open. Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Fill in the fields so your it looks like this picture.

NOTE: The last digits of “IP address” should be the ones the tech administrator assigned to you

Click OK on this window, and the next

Right click on this icon and choose View Available Wireless Networks

If you are on the first floor, choose NSWEMIO1

If you are on the second floor, choose NSWEMIO2, etc

Now, set your laptop on the table in the classroom. Find these two wires

Finally, press Fn+F3 together, twice

The following should be accomplished by now Laptop is connected to the internet The SMARTboard is on The projector is active Your computer is displaying your desktop
