Migration to All-IP
Supporting legacy network infrastructure is increasingly complex and costly for CSPs. Leading operators plan to migrate to All-IP networks.
About 1/2 of CSPs have a specific target date for closing the legacy infrastructure.
Therefore...
75% of CSPs will seek outside help with their migration to IP networks.
For consumer as well as enterprise customers,
more than 60% of network directors want to focus on active migration approach.
However...
38% have lack of execution capacity for active migration approach.
And...For 47% of network directors business case remains unclear

Network Virtualization
Network virtualization is the next step after migrating to All-IP, to further manage costs as well as time to market. Most network executives, however, strongly focus on more traditional topics, in the short-term.
84% consider technology low maturity as the key obstacle.
Most carriers prefer to get familiar with the technology before safely believing in the business case that is unclear without pilots.
