Agreement regime

• The basic elements in The railway reform are the fact that the allocations for operations and maintenance are predictable at a level that facilitates effective production.

• Four-yearly letters of intent between Bane NOR and JD have been issued for the time period 2018-2021 for operations and maintenance.

• These letters of intent make reservation for the Parliament's future budget resolutions and are updated annually.

• Bane NOR has established a project that will prepare decision data for potential competitive tendering for operations and maintenance of the infrastructure

• A decision is planned for the summer of 2018

• A sample section is to be proposed where the first tender can be outsourced if a decision is made to proceed with competitive tendering

• Therefore, a supplier day is planned for February/March 2018 where suppliers will be able to provide input.

Communication on future assignments

• Advance information provides a better framework for resource allocation, calculation and implementation.

• Tender deadlines can be assessed if necessary (major contracts).
