New Mazda CX-9 Impresses Mechanic Richmond in SA and Enthusiasts, Attracts Record

Pre-Launch Interest

Ask every mechanic Richmond in SA you know and they will tell you that the Mazda CX-9 is perhaps one of the most impressive machines they ever

got to work on. It is no secret that Mazda SUVs have impressed

Australia’s car experts and motoring enthusiasts, but it looks like they are

set to make another record.

According to reports, the new generation 2016 Mazda CX-9 has

received greater pre-launch interest than any other units in the

company’s Australian history. Although the local launch is still six

weeks away,

Mazda Australia said they have received 55,000 “potential purchase leads” from interested buyers. About

25% of these buyers have also requested to be contacted by a

Mazda sales representative.

Interests in the new CX-9 reported surpassed those garnered by Mazda

MX-5 prior to its launch in August last year. Before hitting the local

market, the MX-5 got 34,000 purchase leads and 9,700 priority

call requests.

So what makes the CX-9 that interesting? The more refined and

efficient seven-seater CX-9 features Mazda’s new SkyActiv turbocharged

four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 170kW of power (at

5000rpm) and 420Nm of torque (at 2000rpm).

It has no diesel option available, which could potentially disappoint

some family buyers and auto repair experts. However, the new CX-

9 has an exceptional fuel efficiency. The front drive model consumes 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, while the

AWD model consumes 8.8 litres per of fuel per 100km.

The new CX-9 will also be offered with a wide variety of safety

technology that is included in Mazda’s i-Activesense banner. These

safety features include blind-spot monitoring,

land departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and autonomous

emergency braking. It is also expected to be sold with a rear view camera

and parking sensors.

When it goes on sale in July, the 2016 Mazda CX-9, will be available in four

grades for the first time. These grades are the entry-level Sport, mid-grade Touring, high-spec GT, and flagship

grade Azami.

If you are one of those folks who have already sent a purchase lead for

the new CX-9, be sure to give your car some TLC once you finally got your hands on your new vehicle.

Always remember that maintaining it frequently is one of the best ways

to

ensure its optimum performance and to extend its lifespan. Also, if you

encounter some problems, you should immediately send it to the auto shop

for car repairs to prevent the problem from getting worse.
