New Retake Policy at JHills

To Retake a test you must first TRY the first time!• First assessment attempt must meet the

following criteria:– Assessments cannot be left blank– Must show actual attempt to answer all questions– No guessing or random markings

• Deadline for retakes are at the end of each quarter (not the semester!)• First retake has to be within

three weeks of initial assessment.

• Classwork and Interactive Notebooks must be complete before any retakes. No work, No retakes.

• Scholars MUST attend a minimum of one tutoring session provided by either the school, the department or each individual philosopher.

• When you come to tutoring you must bring your notebook…it must be complete including the Chapter study guide.

• Entering the Classroom/Bellwork• Flashcards• Seats• Passes• Notebooks• Supplies

Entering the Classroom and Bellwork

• Enter QUIETLY• Go to your OWN seat• Begin Bellwork IMMEDIETELY!! • Bellwork will be kept in notebook• Bellwork must be complete for retakes

Flashcards

• Must have them with you DAILY• Buy Notecards or cut paper• Lost? Damaged? Make new ones.

Seats

• Sit in your OWN seat or you will be marked tardy or absent and YOU will be required to clear it.

• If you need to change your seat…write me a note or speak to me before/after class.

Passes

• Handbook and ID• Missing handbook? Go to office.• Missing ID--$5 in student store.• No passes first or last 10 minutes.

Notebooks

• Continue using the one from first semester or start a new one.

• If you fill it up…start a new one.• Do NOT get rid of any old notebooks! • Old notebooks can be stored in class…let me

know.

Supplies

• If you need a pencil or paper, let me know.• In your backpack:– Extra pencils, paper– Crayons, colored papers, markers– Glue– Scissors– Notecards
