January 2018 The Difference Is Love sm Volume III Issue 5
Sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters, whose sole mission is to care for the aged and infirm. That mission informs everything we do: every policy we set, every
staff person we hire, and every moment of every day. We offer two levels of care in our Ft. Thomas, Kentucky facility: personal care and skilled nursing care.
In addition to meeting the physical, social, spiritual, and personal needs, our staff works to connect personally with each resident, and get to know their story.
On New Year’s Day, once again
as in years past, we gather to bid
farewell to the present year and
greet a new year with expecta-
tion, hope, renewed energy, and
optimism. It is also a time of re-
flection and looking over the past
year, acknowledging perhaps
what we could have done better,
what we would have done differ-
ently if given the chance, and/or
counting the many blessings that
have been given to us during the
past year. The many people who
have come into our lives this past
year are a blessing and the part
they play in our journey is some-
thing to be grateful for. Each per-
son we encounter is someone we
can learn from, learn about our-
selves, life, and God if we are
open to the spirit within us and
open to each other.
We at Carmel Manor have many
reasons to be grateful when greet-
ing this New Year. We are hum-
bled and blessed to be able to
take care of the residents entrust-
ed to our care and look forward to
many new opportunities to serve
others in the coming years. It is a
privilege and a joy to care for
God’s elderly and we are blessed
in doing so.
On behalf of the Carmelite Sis-
ters, residents and staff of Carmel
Manor, we wish you a New Year
filled with many blessings, and
opportunities to share your many
gifts with others. May God con-
tinue to bless you throughout the
coming year.
