PERFORMANCE POETRY IN Y1M

Y1M have been exploring poetry. On 20th May they looked at how they could use

their own voice when performing poems.

The day after they tried putting actions with their poems, using their teamwork skills to work together and their creative skills to create the actions to go with the words.

Go to the school website and take a look at the brilliant performances!

A THERAPEUTIC FRIDAY AFTERNOON LEARNING ART SKILLS

This afternoon staff have taken part in an art session learning new skills to share

with the children. It was a lovely way to practice new skills and end a busy week. We

can’t wait to see the impact on children’s art outcomes.

KS2 TACKLE ASSAULT COURSE FOR LEAF CENTRE 🍃The children is KS2 have been so proud over the last couple of days to raise money for the leaf centre which will offer opportunities for many children and families in our community and across Rotherham. Thank you so much for their sponsorship! Our assault course incorporated the field, playground and trim trail whilst being ran by our expert Sports Leaders! We have yet to count the final amount raised but it looks likely to be over £1000 !! Well done.

Trying goldilocks breakfast !

Acorns fairytale this week was Goldilocks and the Three bears. Goldilocks was very naughty and ate the bears porridge. We decided to try some porridge to see what it tasted like.

We all tried it and lots of us thought it was yummy. Although we all agreed you shouldn’t steal other peoples porridge.

KS1 PICNIC LUNCH

On Wednesday 9th June we made the most of the lovely weather by having a picnic lunch in the shade under the trees. We enjoyed eating our lunch outside.

At lunchtime our KS2 Junior Librarians shared stories with our younger children in the shade. The children enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine listening to the stories.

Stars of the Week WELL DONE!

We hope to work with you to improve attendance at Greasbrough.
