How Do I Get A Second Life? Install the client on your computer at http://www.secondlife.com

click on Downloads, located toward the bottom left of the page.  Join Second Life and create an avatar. The Basic Membership is free.

Click on Sign Up Now at www.secondlife.com or click on Join Now on the download page at http://www.secondlife.com/community/downloads.php. 

Choose your avatar's name carefully this cannot be changed.
