The book referred to in the above correspondence is Man & His Symbols, the first taste I personally had of Jung, which immediately changed my life. It’s a perfect starter title for those unfamiliar with Jung’s teachings.

While the former focuses mostly on dream symbolism & interpretation, I soon got my hands on a copy of Modern Man in Search of a Soul, which gave the earth, life, and our existence a new meaning to me altogether. Except that it wasn’t new, it had always been latent in the words I could never find myself. Passing a trash can, I happened to see the words “Red Book” on a discarded list & thought it was a strange title for a book. &

not just any book - synchronicity! - it was a book by Jung! I scoured the internet for a copy, wondering why the average price was ~$150. I procured The Red Book eventually and immediately adopted it as my bible. Captivating, to say the least.
