With Spring registration fast approaching (!) it's time to take a look at some of the Honors

seminar offerings we're planning for next se-mester.

HON 2210, Section 5 -- "Authoring Harry Pot-ter," Prof. Megan MacAlystre. Sign up quickly for this course, which will use the original Harry Potter series, fan fiction spinoffs, and literary theory to explore the relationship be-tween an author and her readers. Provides general education literature credit.

HON 2060, Section 3 -- "Engineering Ethics,"

Prof. Dan Wueste. In the wake of recent scandals involving General Motors and Volkswagen, this examination of the ethical roles and responsibilities of engineers is par-ticularly timely. Should we hold engineers to different -- or higher -- standards as com-pared to the general public? To members of other professions? Provides general education science, technology, and society credit.

HON 2210, Section 2 -- "Hamlet, Again: Shakespeare and Adaptation," Prof. Elizabeth Rivlin. To take this course, or not to take this course . . oh, never mind. Join Prof. Rivlin as she examines Shakespeare's original text and numerous adaptations to rediscover Hamlet -- who was or is he, and why does he remain relevant? Provides general education litera-ture credit.
