ALTERNATOR
The alternator system is composed of a belt-driven, air-cooled, brushless alternator and an electronic voltage regulator. These components are controlled by the vehicle’s multiplexing system. The alternator generates an alternating current, which is then rectified to direct current. The voltage regulator limits the maximum voltage produced at the alternator’s output terminal by controlling the rotor’s magnetic field by excitation. The alternator provides electrical power and charges de batteries.
