for the summer and next years implementation plan pertaining to NGSS (KCAS) and bring those plans/ideas with you.

• Send me and email on how you are sharing the Network information to other teachers/administration in your District and any concerns that have arose.

KAR Updated Language

• Section 2. Implementation Timeline. (1) Beginning in the 2014-15 academic year, all local districts shall fully implement the requirements of KRS 156.557 and this administrative regulation for certified school personnel, and may, if adopted by the local board of education, use the results from the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System to make personnel decisions. The use of a district’s present evaluation plan, in addition to a Professional Growth and Effectiveness System, during the 2014-2015 academic year, will comply with this administrative regulation.

Option A The Progressive Model (3 &1 )

• One peer observation and one full observation by the supervisor that is the final observation in the summative year

• Two mini observations during the summative cycle

OPTION BThe Traditional Model (2 &2)

• Two full observations by the supervisor with one of the full observations being the final observation in the summative year.

• Two mini observations with one being by the peer observer during the summative year.

OPTION CDistrict Determined

• Provide an explicit description of the observation model

• Assure that this option provides at least a minimum of 4 observations in the summative cycle (3 principal/1 peer)
