Providing a professional, yet traditional family home for abused & neglected children
in mid-Missouri since 1991.
As everyone knows, November 2012 is the time to elect our President. Lest we all take ourselves too seriously...we thought we’d lighten up the election year tension and ask the kids to finish this one statement:
“If I were elected President...”
No mud-slinging or hot-tempered debates here - just the simple dreams and aspirations of a child. They had some fantastic answers, and we hope as the dust of this election year settles, you’ll enjoy our kids view of what the presidency could really look like, if only THEY were in charge!
I would make everything FREE! --boy, age 10
I would make sure everyone knows about God. --girl, age 6
I would raise the minimum wage. --girl, age 17
I would ban drugs, and make sure everyone had a good, stable home to live in. --boy, age 12
I wouldn’t want the job. --boy, age 4
I would try to help our country get out of debt, because it’s in a LOT of debt. --girl, age 15
I would make a lot more national holidays! --girl, age 17
I would make sure churches were built everywhere, so anyone that wanted to
could go to church. --boy, age 11
Certain groups are exempt from certain laws. I would make it so they were not
exempt from our country’s laws. --girl, age 17
I would not make kids go to school after they finished 2nd grade. --girl, age 10

Our 6th Annual Boots ‘n Bids for Kids event on October 4th appeared to be one of our most successful ones to date. You helped us raise over $35,000!
From the wonderful live music by “Ten Gallon Hat” to the laughter at emcee Cole Calloway-Hodson and Coach Stec - the evening was full of fun entertainment. An amazing assortment of auction and raffle items resulted in many happy winners. Hopefully, everyone left that evening with the impression that living generously can be a whole lot of FUN!

At Coyote Hill, there are two groups that continue to bless us each and every Thanksgiving. We’d like to introduce you to them and give them a big THANK YOU!
First, there are the 1st graders of Christian Fellowship School. Every November, they go to work - literally. The children ask friends and family if they can do chores for them. Whatever payment they receive for their work is saved up until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, at which time the parents take all the money raised and buy lots of groceries for Coyote Hill - often valued at several hundred dollars!
Second, there’s Ameren UE and Bob Tuttle. Each year employees contribute to purchase hams and turkeys for all of our homes, and Bob personally delivers them.
This Thanksgiving, please know that we are thankful for ALL of you!
