Mission Statement The RTO is the official body representingthe retired teachers of Nova Scotia and willadvance, promote and protect the welfare ofits members.

Vision Statement The RTO of Nova Scotia will be recognized

and acknowledged by its members, the NovaScotia Teachers Union, the Government ofNova Scotia and the citizens of Nova Scotiaas a respected leader in protecting andadvocating for retired teachers andfor a quality educationfor students inNova Scotia.

role as advocate and through programs andbranch grants that provide for the needsarticulated to the organization.

informed and will maintainopen communication to enablemembers to become more involved, to provideinput in all decisions and feedback on allactions of the organization taken on behalf ofthe members.
