Using Numbers in the Work place.Answer the following questions

1. When would you use :- Addition

Subtraction Multiplication Division In your place of work?

2. What mathematical processes do you need to do to work out how much you will be paid for a weeks work?

Example 1

• Bob is contracted to work for 37 hours a week. Last week he did 43 hours.

• He gets paid £9 per hour with overtime hours paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.

• How much did Bob get paid last week?
