DESCRIPTION

From time to time, I get power points forwarded to me by a friend who was a B-24 Pilot in World War II, and who knows my love of airplanes. I am reposting this here, for others that are interested, and because I have some clients in Museums at at www.starbasedod.com sites that might find this useful. This like any Powerpoint can easily be used with the CPS Response pads. I recently took a young friend, who at age 14 blogs and posts DIY cooking videos to youtube on a tour of the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. I reminded her that this magnificent ship was built during a time before digital technology , as are all the controls in these airplanes. I also noted the beautiful design and layout of the German airplanes. Nazism was hateful and a blight on mankind, but the I noticed the same thing here that I noticed when I visited the U505 ( Uboat) in Chicago. The German design and workmanship is evident. That is also, among many reasons, why they lost the war. Assembly lines in Detroit were converted to Airplane production and we simply outproduced both the Germans and Japanese. I hope this is both useful and enjoyable. To self congratulate, the only plane I had to look up was the Dornier 335. I recognized all the others having built models of most of them as a kid . They never had a Dorner 335 in Rose's dime store in Kinstree SC.
