Preface
ox, presented by Onyx International, a group of professionals who dedicate
emselves in designing state-of-the-art reading terminal.
e beauty of the Boox is embodied in both i ts simplic ity and its power. As we are going
show you, Boox is an open and flexible platform for both consumers and content
oviders.
ox is powered by an 8-level grayscale e-ink screen that looks and feels like paper.
ssive lighting and diffuse surface relaxes your eyes and reduces eye strain. The
nd-writing system lets you take notes while reading and sketch up ideas that happen to
merge. Boox takes ful l advantage of new-generation e-ink screens: extremely low power
nsumption. Each full charge can sustain a few weeks' reading. By reducing paper
nsumption while providing a realistic paper-like reading experience, digital content
lps to protect the environment without sacrificing convenience or life style.
ox comes with viewers for most popular ebook and image formats, including PDF,
TML, CHM, EPub, TXT, and MobiPocket(NON-DRM). For content partners, we also
ovide support for custom formats and digital rights management solutions. All of our
ewers have standard features such as layout management, font adjustment, full text
arch, zooming, and page flow.
r a next-generation information device, connectivity is essential. The user can connect
the Internet with build-in WiFi or other add-on modules to download new content or just
rf the web. The web browser on Boox uses WebKit, the same software engine that
wers desktop browsers such as Safari and Chrome, customized for the e-ink screen.
ox, the new reading experience.
