Current Study Aim
• Assess levels of awareness of ED among college students.
• The study design has been kept short and simple by using a cross-sectional approach including 2 questionnaires (EAT and EDAT). We are targeting student populations (S=200).
• Findings will provide us with important insights and will help tailoring culturally sensitive prevention strategies and treatment options.
Support & Aim
• We encourage those with ED to attend support groups.
• Overeaters Anonymous is a 12 steps program for compulsive eaters.
• We aim to provide different types of support groups.
• We also aim to put together an online helpline
Working on
• Interactive website which we urgently need to have translated into Arabic.
• We are preparing to have a first fundraising event in September 2013.
• Leaflets on different eating disorders for schools, teachers, parents and students will be distributed.
