Disaster strikes…•Sally has realised that her passport has expired•She can’t find her birth certificate as Paul has put them in a “safe place”•Sally contacts Births, Deaths and marriages and is told it will take 5 weeks to order a paper copy. ARGHHHHHHHHHH•The Birth’s Deaths and Marriages Customer Service person advises that Sally can get her birth certificate quicker if she registers for a new government service called mii
LOGIN SCREEN
Sally goes to the login screen of mii and clicks the ‘sign up for mii button’
REGISTRATION SCREEN
Sally completes registration details and clicks ‘submit’
CONFIRMATION SCREEN
Sally receives instructions to expect an email with further details for how to
complete her registration

Sally goes into her inbox and clicks on the email (this is received immediately)

CONGRATULATIONS you have successfully registered for MII. You can now securely store ALL your important documents in the ONE place.
Your initial password is your drivers licence number, you will be prompted to change this after your first login.

FIRST TIME LOGGING IN SCREEN
Sally clicks the login button using her drivers licence number as the initial password. She is then prompted to
change the password .
VERIFICATION
Sally receives notification that she needs to add more information so that her
identity can be verified.
ADD DOCUMENTS SCREEN
Now that Sally has fully verified her identity she clicks on the button to
retrieve documentation

Sally clicks on the ‘personal’ button to retrieve her birth certificate

Sally clicks on the ‘birth certificate’ button
DOWNLOADING DOCUMENT SCREEN
Sally’s birth certificate is seamlessly downloaded from the Births, Deaths and
Marriages database
CLICK TO VIEW SCREEN
Sally clicks on the ‘share’ button to share her birth certificate for her passport
application
SHARE DOCUMENT SCREEN
Sally selects the ‘share’ button so she can share her birth certificate to complete her
passport application
CONFIRMATION THAT DOCUMENT HAS BEEN SENT SCREEN
Sally receives confirmation that her birth certificate has successfully been sent
