Overview of NMEA 2000

• To view the devices on the NMEA 2000 network you need to press menu twice

• Scroll down and highlight Networking and press Enter

• Press Enter on Bus Setup

• Then it will list the NMEA 2000 devices on the network.

• In this example you will see 5 devices.

• Once the device is selected it will display the following information.

• The EP-DDS is a special edition transducer that will transmit digital depth and temp to all displays connected to the NMEA 2000 network.

• Part #47-49

• When an engine is connected to NMEA 2000 you will have to set the engine and tank configuration depending on how many engines and tanks are installed on the boat.

• Also you can set the tank size and the location

• Once you select the engine it will list the device data at the bottom of the screen and the location of the engine.

• On a single engine setup the location is defaulted to center.

• You can have up to a 3 engine setup and monitor all 3 engines either the port, center or starboard.

• Once you have selected Bus Setup you can right arrow over to the NMEA Diagnostics and view the Rx (receive messages) and the Tx (transmit messages) for Bus Traffic

• You can also select Ping All Devices at the bottom of this page to relocate any devices that have fallen off the network.

• To setup your Custom Gauges you will have to press pages and left arrow over to status then press enter and highlight Custom Gauges and press enter.

• Now that you are on the Custom Gauges page you will have to press menu and select Overlay Data to customize the blank page.

• Highlight Press ENT to add and press Enter to open up your overlay data options.

• Scroll down to NMEA 2000 and press Enter and it will open a drop down menu of all the devices on the network.

• Same thing follows with the devices.

• Once you select a device such as the Yamaha engine in this example you can select the data you want to overlay by pressing enter and putting a check mark in front of it.

• Once you select the data you want to overlay and press exit you will see this page. Overlay Data Shown

• You can select the data in this example Engine RPM and press enter to customize it.

• This page gives you the data information for Engine Trim and the different options you can choose from.

• If you want to change the size highlight overlay size and press enter and choose the appropriate size.

• Highlight Overlay Style and press enter to change the gauge from digital to analog.

• You can highlight Change Size and press enter and it give you the directional arrows to change the size as well.

• Select Gauge Setup and press enter to view the options to customize the gauge set up.
