Authority

– PACE WILL NOT and CANNOT be the only approval process available

– Boards are legally required to maintain their authority

• PACE is a means of delegating some of the workload associated with that authority

• PACE is also a way of pooling resources with other boards—that’s why the FCLB is here!

Authority

– PACE is a multi-layer program, relying on representatives of regulatory boards, ACC colleges, and licensing board administrators

Fees

• One time application fee: $500• Not-for-profit annual recognition fee: $1,000

• For-profit annual recognition fee: $10,000

• Attendee records fee: $1 per credit hour, per attendee—maximum $10 per attendee

• Application renewal fee: $250

• Appeal: $1,500 initial deposit (fee determined by costs)

– Oversees PACE Review Team– Makes recommendations to FCLB Board

– Education experts nominated by ACC college presidents to serve

– 3 randomly selected Review Team members assess CE provider applications and determine ability to comply with PACE Policies & Procedures and Criteria

– Recommend approvals to PACE Committee– Review of course content for compliance
