• Cascade Yarns® ; Cascade 220 Sport®; 100% Peruvian Highland Wool; 50 g (1.75 oz) / 164 yds (150 m)

• 7 skeins color #9697 (Sunflower)

• US 6 (4 mm) Knitting needles or size to obtain gauge

• 4 Stitch markers

• Yarn needle

INTERMEDIATE

Gauge: 18 sts x 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) stockinette stitch

Abbreviations: CO = Cast on BO = Bind off RS = Right side WS = Wrong side

K = Knit Ktbl = Knit through the back loop P = Purl Ptbl = Purl through the back loop PM = Place marker RM = Remove marker SM = Slip marker YO = Yarn over St(s) = Stitch(es) K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together

K3tog = Knit 3 stitches together SSK = Slip 2 stitches, one at a time as if to knit, to the right needle. Insert the left needle into the fronts of these 2 stitches and knit them together SK2P = Slip 1 stitch, as if to knit, to the right needle. Knit the next 2 stitches. Pass the slipped stitch over the 2 stitches that were knit together

Flemish Block Lace Stitch Pattern: (multiple of 14 sts + 3) Row 1 (RS): K2, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k3, k2tog, yo, k4; rep from *, end k1. Row 2 (WS) and all other WS rows: Purl. Row 3: K1, *k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k4; rep from *, end k2. Row 5: K2tog, yo, *k5, yo, sk2p, yo, k4, k2tog, yo; rep from *, end k1. Row 7: K2, *yo, ssk, k4, yo, ssk, k3, k2tog, yo, k1; rep from *, end k1. Row 9: K3, *yo, ssk, k4, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k3; rep from *. Row 11: K4, *yo, ssk, k4, yo, k3tog, yo, k5; rep from *, end last repeat k4. Row 12: Purl Repeat 12 rows for pattern.

Cloverleaf Eyelet Cable Stitch Pattern: (multiple of 8 sts + 1) Row 1 (RS): *K1tbl, P2, yo, sk2p, yo, p2; rep from *, end k1tbl. Body of shawl: Maintaining the first 6 stitches and the last 6 stitches of each row in the Edging Stitch Pattern, work the center 313 stitches using the following formula:[Cloverleaf Eyelet - 25 sts (3 multi-ples)], [Flemish Block Lace - 115 sts (8 multiples)], [Cloverleaf Eyelet - 33 sts (4 multiples)], [Flemish Block Lace - 115 sts (8 multiples)], [Cloverleaf Eyelet - 25 sts (3 multiples)].

Repeat the following 12 rows eleven times:

Row 1 (RS): Work 3 multiples of Row 1 of the Cloverleaf pattern; PM, work 8 multiples of Row 1 of the Flemish Block pattern, PM; work 4 multiples of Row 1 of the Cloverleaf pattern; PM, work 8 multiples of Row 1 of the Flemish Block pattern, PM; work 3 multiples of Row 1 of the Cloverleaf pattern.

Row 2 (WS): Work 3 multiples of Row 2 of the Cloverleaf pattern; SM, work 8 multiples of Row 2 of the Flemish Block pattern, SM; work 4 multiples of Row 2 of the Cloverleaf pattern; SM, work 8 multiples of Row 2 of the Flemish pattern, SM; work 3 multiples of Row 2 of the Cloverleaf pattern.

Row 3: Same as Row 1, but working Row 3 of the Cloverleaf and Flemish Block patterns.

Repeat Row 1 three times.

BO in pattern. Weave in yarn tails and wet block the piece, stretching it to blocking measurements to open up the lace pattern.
