On the request of Ministry of Food & Agriculture, a satellite

based system has been developed for monitoring of

countrywide crops

The system provides crop area, yield and production

estimations for both summer and winter crops

The crops covered are wheat, cotton, rice and sugarcane

Operational since 2007
