Ascension Day Holy Communion

Thursday 10th May, 7:30pm

What precisely IS a "glorious ascension"? We pro-

claim it in our communion services and believe Jesus

ascended to the Father but what sort of images do

you have of what actually happened? Was it some-

thing like a UFO doing a "beam me up Scotty" with

Jesus?! Come join us for this communion service as

we think about and celebrate Ascension Day! With

Revd. Charlotte Cheshire.

MORNING PRAYER—WEEK 3 MONTH 2 Week beginning 6th May 2018

Daily Prayer Calendar Please help yourself to a copy of the Prayer Calendar

which can be found at the back of church and use it as often as you can to help focus our prayers together

Please pray for:

The friends and fami-lies of Eric Davis and Denis Hemphreys whose funerals were held last week. We pray for the new Chairs of the Action Groups as they begin work of forming the Groups. May we all be attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as to who is being called to work together in supporting and

strengthening the work of the church in this way. We pray for those in-volved in reaching out to visitors to the Balloon and Kite festival weekend with the good news of Jesus. We pray that the team will come together well, that they will be encouraged by the response to what they share, and that people will come to faith through it.
