Identifying Partnerships

• Identifying Partnerships– In this module, the practitioner is introduced to the

principles and motivation behind forming partnerships to facilitate the successful implementation of community projects, including ICT initiatives

• Concentrates on Microbeacon, Edinburgh

SWOT : Microbeacon• When giving guidance on how participants should

approach the SWOT analysis, the tutor could highlight– What experience Microbeacon can bring to the proposal (its

strengths)– What gaps in their experience need to be addressed (its

weaknesses)– What threats or constraints are apparent both in its

immediate environment and the wider community which may affect the proposal

– What opportunities are presented both immediately and in the longer term which the organisation may be able to capitalise upon

• From this exercise, participants will have gained an understanding of the demands and constraints that are evident in partnership working
