Creating your account

When you are authorized for your examinations, you will receive an email notification from Pearson VUE.

Click on the link circled in red: http://www.pearsonvue.com/DMI/ibm.asp

You will be brought to the landing page for CPDS exam.From the landing page select Create account.

Enter your details in the required fields. You can find your DMI Candidate ID in the exam authorization email from Pearson VUE.

Update/edit your details if required. If you notice your name is different to the name on your photo ID please email cpds@digitalmarketinginstitute.com to request a change.

Update/edit your contact details if required.

Please answer questions on where you studied the course.

Choose your username, password and answer 2 security questions of your choice. Once complete, click Finish.

Your account is now created. To schedule your exam click Next.

Scheduling your exam

You can access your account from the CPDS exam landing page. Click on Sign in.

Enter your username and password you chose when creating your account. Click Sign In to proceed.

You will see exams assigned to you under Pre-approved Exams.Select the CPDS exam.

Click Schedule this Exam.

Enter a location you would like to search for test centres in and click Search. You can search by street, district or city. Select a test centre by ticking a box beside its name. You can select up to 3 centres to compare availability.

Select a preferred exam date from the calendar to check the availability. Then select your exam time. You can change the date to check further availability. You can also change the test centre location.

Review your exam appointment details, then click Proceed to Checkout.

Check / Update your details. If you require an update or change to your name please email cpds@digitalmarketinginstitute.com.Your name must match exactly the name on your photo ID.

Read the exam policy and tick the box to confirm you agree to it.

You will be brought to a checkout page. This is where you will pay for your exam using a voucher you received from your Digital Focal.Select Add Voucher or Promo Code.

Enter the voucher code and click Apply.

If you are paying for the exam by credit or debit card, enter your card details.Note: you should pay with the exam voucher for your first exam attempt. You may be required to pay with a credit card for a repeat exam.

Enter your billing details and click Next. Your card will not be charged at this stage.

Review your exam details and if correct, click Submit Order.Once the booking is complete you will be brought to the summary page. You will also receive an email confirmation of your exam booking from Pearson VUE.

Rescheduling an exam

If you need to reschedule your exam, you can do it online.Note: You cannot reschedule an exam scheduled within 24 hours.To access your account, go to: http://www.pearsonvue.com/DMI/ibm.aspClick on Sign in.

On the home page you will see your scheduled exam under Upcoming Appointments. Click on the link to access the appointment details.

On the right hand-side you will see 2 options: Reschedule and Cancel. Click on Reschedule.

You will be brought to a scheduling screen where you can chose a new exam date and time. You can also change the test centre you would like to take your exam in.

You can review the appointment details on the next screen.If you are happy with the details, click on Proceed to Checkout.

Check / Update your details. If you require an update or change to your name please email cpds@digitalmarketinginstitute.com.Your name must match exactly the name on your photo ID.

Read the exam policy and tick the box to confirm you agree to it.

To confirm the new appointment details, please click on Confirm Reschedule.Note: the exam is not rescheduled until you get to the summary page and receive an email confirmation.

The Summary page will show you a confirmation of a rescheduled exam.

Cancelling an exam

If you need to cancel your exam, you can do it online.Note: You cannot cancel an exam scheduled within 24 hours.To access your account, go to: http://www.pearsonvue.com/DMI/ibm.aspClick on Sign in.

On the home page you will see your scheduled exam under Upcoming Appointments. Click on the link to access the appointment details.

On the right hand-side you will see 2 options: Reschedule and Cancel. Click on Cancel.

You will see details of your appointment.To proceed with the cancellation, tick the policy box and click on Cancel Appointment.Note: your exam is not cancelled until you get to the summary page.

The Summary screen will confirm your cancellation. You will also receive a cancellation confirmation by email.
