The PGA of ManitobaFoundation Inc. began with agroup of local PGA of Canadaprofessionals determined tomake a difference in the golfcommunity. As a part of thefoundation, the Future ProsProgram was created.
The Future Pros Programoffers kids in Manitoba andnorthwest Ontario – whootherwise may not have theopportunity - to access to the
game of golf. The program provides them full junior membership at a localgolf course, instruction, equipment, and all that is required to participate andenjoy the game.
By providing access to the game of golf, their world is opened up not only tothe physical components of the game, but to the values it teaches us:respect, honesty, integrity, and perseverance. Future Pros participantsbecome part of the golf community, which provides opportunity through therelationships they can develop.
We feel strongly that all kids in Manitoba deserve the chance to enjoy thegame of golf and the community that surrounds it. Golf is a safe and activesport that fosters friendships and installs life-enhancing values.
The PGA of Manitoba Foundation Inc. is a charitable organization thathas been established by a dedicated group of PGA of Manitoba golfprofessionals. The Foundation gives financially disadvantaged kids theopportunity to become involved in all the aspects of the great game ofgolf.
Once accepted, students are provided with the full golf experience: juniormembership to a golf club, instruction, and all the necessary equipment toplay the game. A professional at each club is designated to provide guidanceto each participant, while the foundation Executive Director stays in contactwith the families and host clubs throughout the season.

DURATIONThe Future Pros Program accepts kids between the ages of 14 to 18 (grades9 to 12) and will support them through to graduation, providing theyparticipate in the game according to our criteria.
