What is

Pixlr.com?

Pixlr.com is

the creator

of online,

mobile and

desktop

image tools.

It is a cloud-

based set of

image tools

and utilities.

Today,

Pixlr.com

have three

applications

in their suite:

•Pixlr Editor

•Pixlr Express

•Pixlr-O-matic

Pixlr is

now part of

Autodesk,

a global

leader in

innovative

design

software and

services.

The Pixlr

services is

built for both

newbies and

serious

retouchers

with

editing needs

such as

editing web

images to be

posted on

social

networks like

Facebook,

MySpace or

image sites

like Flickr,

Photobucket,

Fotolog, etc.

Its application

would be

an excellent

choice for

experienced

users who

haven't got

access to a

computer.

Rather than

downloading

software,

Pixlr.com

allows users

to access

a host of

powerful

image editing

features from

any computer

with internet

connection.

Let’s

get

started!

Locate your

favorite

browser.

In our

example, it’s

Google Chrome

Click icon

In address bar,

type:

Press Enter

Here’s the

Its three

Let’s first

discuss

Pixlr Editor.

Click Pixlr Editor

Upon clicking

Pixlr Editor,

user will

redirect

to this

page:

The user is

asked to select

image option:

Create a new Image

Open Image from Computer

Open Image from URL

Open Image from Library

Use on Mobile Device

In our

example,

Create new

image is

Chosen

and the user

is asked

to fill out the

following

and press OK

button if

details are fine.

User should

familiarize

himself with

the various

editing

panels.

Navigation Panel

It displays

the miniature

of the image.

Layers Panel

Use the Layers

panel to make,

select, edit

and rearrange

layers of

adjustments

to your

original

image.

History Panel

This shows

you a list of

all changes

you’ve made

to your

image.

Tools Panel

It contains

buttons for

many of the

editing tools

you will be

working with.

Tip:

Hold your

cursor over a

button for a

few seconds

and the name

will appear

and its short

cut key.

Let’s then

discuss

Pixlr Express.

Click Pixlr Express

Upon clicking

Pixlr Express,

user will

redirect

to this

page:

Options are:

Browse, Open

URL, Webcam

and Collage.

In our

example,

we will

use Collage

feature.

Click

After clicking,

user will be

redirected to:

User can

choose desired

Layout,

Spacing,

Roundness,

Proportions

and Color of

grid.

In adding

photos,

choose

from your

computer.

add color

vibrant.

Overlay

Overlay is to

add effect

on top of

your

chosen

images.

Borders

Borders is to

add designed

margin.

Stickers

Stickers is to

include

specific design

Type

Type is to add

texts in your

images.

Click Save

Choose your

desired folder

location on

where you

want the file

to be saved

then click

Save

button.

discuss

Pixlr-O-matic.

Click Pixlr-O-matic

Upon clicking

Pixlr-O-matic,

user will

redirect

to this

page:

Options are:

Webcam and

Computer.

In our

example,

we will use

Computer

feature.

Click

After clicking,

user is asked

to locate

image to

be used in

this feature

then click

Open

button.

Choose image

Click

The first

step is to

choose your

desired

image

effect.

In our sample,

Julia is

selected.

Click Next

Next step is

to choose

desired

image

overlay

effect.

Its overlay

effect’s name

is Vignette.

Click Next

And lastly,

choose

desired border.

Its border’s

name is
