ENGINEERING DIVISION
Organized to ensure an efficient response for customers who require processing machines and/or complete lines conform to European standards, also in terms of safety, for the production of Wood Pellets and/or Agro Pellets.
Offering customers:- technical advice to define an optimal solution in relation to customer requirements,
raw materials, the final product and local technical and environmental conditions;
- financial advice on possible funding for the investment;- general and detailed designs for installing the production line in the available
space;- simple and reliable solutions to complex technological problems;- coordinated technical construction of the plant with the technological partners
involved in the supply;- supervision of the assembly, mounting, startup and testing of the supplied
machines and/or lines;- training customer’s staff.
Based on:- a design office with staff specializing in plant analysis, machine design and
drawing up the technical documentation required by EU standards or providing staff training;
- in-house production manufacturing all the main mechanical components with fully computerized control of each production phase;
- an in-house assembly department that preassembles the steel-structural work of the machines to guarantee they conform to standards;
- a quality control service on all phases, from provisioning of raw-materials to the finished product, with an in-house quality-control laboratory for materials and heat treatments;
- a group of specialized service technicians supervising the fitting and startup of machines and/or plants;
- a fast service for handling inquiries and making quotations.
CUSTOMER CARE DIVISION
Structured to guarantee customers receive optimal:- technical advice on dies also in relation to raw materials;- supplies of consumables – dies – rollers – liners for all leading brands;- complete maintenance of dies and rollers, including a collection and redelivery
service in some countries.
This service is based on:- a production structure able to manufacture more than 2,000 dies/year for any
type of mill, with fully computerized control of all production stages. Manufacturing dies, rollers and machinery has let us acquire exceptional competence and know-how in the behaviour of various raw materials during processing.
- a quality assurance service covering the entire process from provisioning raw materials to the finished product, with an in-house quality control laboratory for materials and heat treatments;
- a roller and die maintenance service with specific departments at the Cittadella (Italy) headquarters as well as in other countries, including a collection and redelivery service in suitable conditions;
- a technical customer care service with specialists ready to operate on the customer’s premises;
- a free service with technicians for setting up dies during the testing phase;- a fast service for processing requests, from making the offer to filling the order.

Based on more than 50 years’ experience, La Meccanica has developed a range of industrial scale machinery for processing of biomass, e.g. wood pellets for fuel.
The raw material usually consists of waste products from the woodworking industry, saw mills, furniture factories etc.La Meccanica machinery equipment for biomass has been designed to the function and strength especially required for these products.

PELLETING
The La Meccanica pellet mills ensures high
output and efficient control of the pellet
quality. The pellet mill are dimensioned
for large forces and designed with
exchangeable wear parts. Efficient process control results in large
flexibility and optimum energy utilization.

All conveyors and processing equipment are made of corrosion resistant steel to withstand i.a. tannic acid liberated from the heated wood. The process line is working with underpressure to minimize dust escape and improve the working environment.
