A welcoming Catholic faith community who gathers to celebrate the Word of God as a Eucharistic People.

The sympathy of our parishes is extended to Cheryl Beaugrand whose

sister, Dana Lee Pluimers, died suddenly last week. Please pray for them and for all those who mourn. Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord; And let perpetual light shine upon, them. (Ps 130)

for those who cultivate peace. — James 3:18

Thinking About Becoming Catholic? The RCIA program – or Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - is for people who would like to take a closer look at the Catholic faith. We meet weekly in a group setting with sponsors (arranged by the parish or in partnership with the RCIA candidates them-selves) and members of our parish leadership teams. Different presenters each week on a variety of topics. The RCIA program is a combined initiative of the parishes of the Sarnia deanery. The RCIA program is divided into four stages or periods. The first period or “Inquiry Stage” takes us through the fall. The “Inquiry Stage” is open to anyone who wishes to take a closer look at the Catholic faith and there is absolutely no obligation to continue in the RCIA journey. Hosted at St. Benedict Parish on Wednesday evenings from 6:30—8:30p.m. beginning on October 11. Please register with your parish office.

Weekly bulletin is posted on www.lambtoncatholic.ca

Life Chain is an easy way to get involved in pro-life activism. Just show up for one hour, stand on the side walk with others who are not ashamed to be a public witness, and pray for an end to abortion and for those affected by it. OUR Lady Help of Christians ANNUAL THANKSGIVING APPEAL We will be mailing a letter and donation envelope to each registered family in our parish for our annual Thanksgiving Appeal. All donations for this appeal stay within the parish. Again this year, we have set our goal at $35,000.00. We will be having our door to door canvass on Sunday, October 28, however, we encourage you to place your donation for this appeal in the collection basket as this makes much less work for our canvassers. We are very grateful for the support you regularly give and ask that you be as generous as possible for this appeal. We thank Mary McCurdy for making our Thanksgiving Appeal poster at the front of the church.

This Thanksgiving, if you are blessed to have plenty

please consider sharing with those who don’t and give

to your local Food Bank. Please drop dry goods and

grocery items off in the collection boxes at your parish

or your local grocery store. Thank you.
