NOTE R 9:
The SAM switches relay 9 onsupplying power to fuse 13when the headlight switch ison! thus turning on the trailertail lamps.
When in emergency powermode , the SAM switches relay 9on and off, which switches thepower to fuse 13 on and off!thus flashing the trailer taillamps.

NOTE R8:
R8 is a single throw relay, it willonly have 4 prongs. Either pin87 or pin 87a will be missing,depending on the intendedfunctionality of the circuit.If prong 87a is missing thecircuit will be normally open, thetrailer power circuit is enabledonly if the key is in IGN positionor enabled through a switch(depending on SAMparameterization)If prong 87 is missing, the circuitis normally closed (BA T).If a 5 prong relay is used, thetrailer power will be always on.
