Various Things Around Higashiyama(a.) History̶An onsen town said to be discovered by a famous

priest around 1,300 years ago, Higashiyama is worthy of inclusion in old Tohoku’s top three resort towns.

(b.) Efficacy of the Hot Springs̶the hot springs here are purported to be effective for chronic skin ailments, wounds, children with weak constitutions, chronic women’s ailments, arteriosclerosis, and high blood pressure.

(c.) Festivals̶The Oyukake Festival and Higashiyama Bon-Odori are two festivals which occur in August.
