Port of Garibaldi Gangway Replacement Project Letter to Request Bids for the Fabrication and Delivery

The Port of Garibaldi (“Port”) is seeking bids on the fabrication and delivery of a new aluminum gangway for use at the Port’s guest moorage dock. Funding Funding for this project has been provided by the Oregon State Marine Board in combination with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Available Information (enclosed) • Bid Form • Drawings and Technical Specifications Project Tasks Fabricate and delivery of an aluminum gangway to the Port of Garibaldi, located in City Garibaldi (Tillamook County), Oregon. All work will be conducted in accordance with the enclosed Drawings and Technical Specifications. Provide bi-weekly progress updates to Port. Delivery of completed project, ready for installation, will be required within one ninety (90) days from notice to proceed. Selection Process The award of this contract will be made on the total lump sum cost of the Base Bid as submitted on the enclosed Bid Form. This is not a line item bid. Submittals Provided information to include: 1. Completed “Gangway Bid Form”. 2. Firm location and contact information. 3. Experience on comparable projects. 4. Project approach and work plan. 5. Schedule to accomplish project.

The deadline for submission of response is Friday July 29, 2016, 2:00 p.m. in Garibaldi, Oregon. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED FROM FURTHER CONSIDERATION. The Port may select the bid for the project directly from the proposal submittals. Respondents may be asked to participate in an informal interview. One black and white copy with single page cover letter is to be mailed or hand-delivered to:

Questions regarding the project or this request for proposals may be directed to Michael Saindon or David Olson at (503) 322-3292 or manager@portofgaribaldi.org. The drawings and technical specifications may not be changed without the written approval of the Engineer-of-Record. The Port of Garibaldi reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any or all proposals prior to the execution of a contract. This Letter to Request Bids does not obligate Port of Garibaldi to contract for the services specified herein. The final selection, if any, will be the bids, that in the opinion of Port of Garibaldi, best meets the requirements set forth in the Drawings and Technical Specifications enclosed in this package and is in the best interest of the Port of Garibaldi. The Port of Garibaldi shall not be responsible for any costs associated with a bidder’s preparation of a bid in response to this request. In submitting a bid in response to this request, the bidder agrees to accept the terms set forth in this Letter to Request Bids.
