PROJECTS V 2011/2012

Imitating the boulevard of the Avenue Paralel the housing is organized occupying the perimeter of the block as if it was a wall with a permeable public ground floor. It’s roof turns into an agreeable walk with a constant view of the sea and Mont-juic. In addition, a few towers were helping to shape the space, creating more intimate zones and stirring the tours into action.

PROJECTS VI 2011/2012

The rebuilding of a deserted block of the Poblenou neighbourhood is where the project takes place. The duplex housings are organi-zed forming a ring which make a union with all the pieces and that creates a central court inside the block obtaining continuity with the new building and the already existing one. There are two types of duplex and these always see the outside from the two views of the ring, the exterior of the street and the interior patio.

AMACBA MUSEUM EXTENSION

PROJECTS VII 2012/2013

Reusing an old church near the MACBA Museum is the way to build the new museum extension. The strategy is to reuse the buttresses for the structure and creating a new facade that inte-racts with the current museum and with the square in front. To reach this goal it is build up a new permeable facade covered with a huge sun slats that aids the museum’s visitors to have a double visual relationship with the outside and the inside museum tour.

PROJECTS VIII 2012/2013

The tres torres neighbourhood is caracterised to be an aera with residen-cial buildings that breathe between them. The city blokcs are aereated and lightened with a constant rythm of emptiness and fullness. Also is an aera with slate roofs buildings. Is also relevant that is a neighbourhood settled on a slope of the perpendicular streets to the see is between the 5% and the 7%. Thus the new market will follow four premises:-Has to be a building that breath between the surrounfing buildings-Has to strenght teh tension between the inclinated roofs-Has to adapt to the slope-Has to be a singular building

PROJECTS X 2013/2014

Trondheim’s harbour area known as Nyhavna is undergoing a transformation from a industrial harbour area to a new central part of Trondheim city. The future use of Nyhavna will be a mix of offices, dwellings and cultural and public program to benefit Trondheim as a whole. The goal is to create a high-rise in Nyhavna that functions as a “motor” for the new development of the area.Consolidate an urban link of new public areas with different character supported with a high rise as the new landmark of the area.

OLOTTERRITORIAL

INTERVENTION URBAN PLANNING VI 2012/2013

Olot, in Girona’s province, is known as the volcano zone of Catalonia. The fact is that the Fluvià River that cross this te-rritory is not at all used as a connection between the villages that passes through. This project studies the area and draws a continuous path near the riverbank so it connects these zones for the cyclists and walkers giving them some res-ting areas and agreeable views through the river itinerary.

URBAN PLANNING V 2012/2013

The project will reform the urban area of the Catalan island of Mallorca. This includes the old Stadium Lluis Sitjar RCD Mallorca and the surrounded environment area, within the general area of the Wedge Green (“Sa falca verda”). It will be very important the connection of the zone with the city and how the new de-velopment will effect the city and its citizens. The main reform will be at the stadium, pushing it up and allowing the city move-ments (pedestrians and vehicles) and live to cross it underneath.

PATCHWORK CITY LIMA

Urban planing in NTNU, Trondheim 2013

The capital of Peru is one of the five largest cities of the Americas. It is growing rapidly and in an uncontrolled manner without following any official urban development plans. Due to economic and functional reasons, heavy and large-scale indus-tries are moving out of the area of the seaport and are mainly relocating in an expanding industrial zone North of the seaport. Hence many parcels on this area are already abandoned and available for urban development. The project is located in one of the largest parcels within our project area that takes in 30 hectares and belongs to the big industry Alicorp S.A.A.So, reconceiving the site as a connecting element for the sustainable growth of the multi-cultural megacity, the project will focus on the design of a high-density and high-quality urban quarter, comprising living, working and leisure spaces.

NEHISTORY ANALYSIS

HISTORY IIi 2010/2011

Alvar Aalto leaved us some great work of which we have to learn about. The Maison Louis Carré located in Bazoches-sur-Gou-yènne, near Versailles, is one of this examples. The analysis and redrawing of it’s plans allowed the production of a model that uses the corresponding material to express the same wishes of materiality of the Nordic architect as well as the particular false ceiling section that creates an interior environment so particular.

LEARNING FROM MEDELLIN

OPTTAIVE 2012/2013

Medellín, located in a Colombian valley, is a city completely dependent of the topography, the river and the quebradas. Being one of the poorest cities and the most violent Colombian region there are proposed different social and urban actions to improve the quality of citizen’s life. The goal this project is the organization of a road network that communicates the whole city getting through all the estratos and connecting them in the most directly way. Although the pronounced topography it will be a project that will aid the city to reach the welfare state.

DESIGNING RESI-LIENT SCHOOLS

ON-LINE COURSE 2013/2014

In November 8, 2013 the devastating Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, causing more than 5,000 deaths and destroying the homes and cities for millions. Natural disasters are happe-ning more and more often due to climate change. We can’t do much to stop them, but as architects we can help with the recovery and to build shelters that would withstand them. The goal of this project is to generate design ideas for resilient schools for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan and other natural disasters.

MFURNITURE DESIGN

OPTATIVE 2013/2014

The aim of this project is to design a desk for studying (Norwe-gian “lesesalsplass”). These desks for studying have been quite unchanged (at NTNU) the last 3 decades. The challenge is to see if the ways we work today affects the place where we study. The increased use of computers have changed the way we study and have also affected the interaction between knowledge and other people during studying. Thus, the design will emphasize on some qualities such as flexibility, privacy, design, construction and material, in this case a whole wood production.

LMETA PEYZAJURBAN PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE OFFICE

SUMMER 2014

The Turkish office is focused on urban planning and landscape architecture with projects throw all along Turkey as well as other oriental countries like Iraq. They also work with the architecture affected to those projects the area where I was working on as an architect designer.

erbil parkIRAQ

Iraq is under a huge urban development and this urban, landscape and architecture project develops a huge recreative park in Erbil, Iraq. The designs of different buildings requested by the client were the works that I was focus on. Likewise I worked on the first design of some structures such as a n Eco-restaurant, which followed the lines of the landscape pro-ject and the material of an eco-building, a palms greenhouse, a prototype of kiosks and a big sunshade for an stage area.

uluova milk factory

TURKEY

For the last few years the Turkish milk factory Uluova is un-der growing and they are building a huge new factory with different constructions such as the farm area for the milk cows, the milk post treatment area, the workers houses and facilities and the administrative buildings. In this case the project is focused on the design of the facade of an existing project for the administrative building that works as an eco-fa-cade and reflects at the same time which kind of factory is.
