My name is Maling.

I am Chinese.

I was born in Northern California, near San Francisco.

This is my older sister, Maggie.

She was also born in Northern California and still lives there.

She and her husband enjoy hiking and biking.

These are my grandparents.

They were born in Taiwan.

My grandmother enjoys gardening and taking walks in the mornings.

My grandfather passed awaya year ago. I miss him.

This is my father.

He worked in the U.S. for many years.

Then he retired and moved to China.

He passed away in July of this summer.

This is my mother, Amy.

She lives and works in California.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening and learning English.

I went to college at UC Berkeley and then became a teacher.

I taught 6th grade students for two years at a Christian school.

Then I went to Thailandto teach for two years.

Now I am studying at Biola University.I enjoy it very much.
