Thursdays, following the noon Mass there is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 5pm in the Chapel. On each Thursday at 3pm until 4pm, we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by 5 Decades of the Rosary for Priests, a few prayers
and 5 Decades of the Rosary for the Unborn. We would be most happy to have you join us or drop into the Chapel Thursday afternoons for a visit to
Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Lent will be starting this month.
40 Days for Life will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 26th. We go to the Planned Parenthood facility in Danbury on Wednesdays for an hour of
prayer. For more information, call Peg Doherty (628-8997).
Prayer for our Troops Almighty God and Father, hold our servicemen and women in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time and need.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
Saint Michael, the Archangel, Please guide and protect our Police Officers, Firefighters, Emergency
Personnel and First Responders
Ask Sr. Rose
Do Catholics worship Statues, Icons, and Holy Pictures?
The faithful do not worship statues, icons or pictures; they venerate, (to regard with
reverential respect or with admiring deference), or honor the Virgin Mary and the
Saints and worship and adore only God.
Seize the Day! When you look back on your life, there are certain
highlights that tend to stand out – great moments in your life.
The truth is that every day could be a great day in your life if only you appreciated the present and passing
moment. Every day is a new birth, with new prospects and opportunities that fall to you from the loving hand
of God, so that you can live. Cherish your memories, but appreciate the importance
and wonderful possibilities of today. Accept every moment of every day as a gift of grace from the hand of
God and utilize it fully. Then every day will be a great day!

St. Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians addresses many of the same topics in the news headlines today: scandals, promiscuity, debates and controversies, and issues related to prosperity versus poverty. Clearly, the struggles faced by the early Christians are in many ways similar to our own.
First Corinthians: The Church and the Christian Community explores the key elements of the gospel message that Paul introduced to a new and growing Church. Presenter Tim Gray examines Paul’s advice for living an authentic Christian life in a pagan culture, as well as his teachings about the nature of grace, the Church as the body of Christ, and the most powerful gift of all—the Eucharist.
