“All of us in the Church in positions of leadership – and I say this to myself above all – need to be aware of what we have to learn from the concerns and the faith and the witness and the questions of our young people."

Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt 18v2)

Why prayer?

To help young people to chill out, address the imbalance of overworked and over stressed young people.

Why prayer?

To give young people a tool to use that aids them in their search for identity.

The search for God is also the search for ourselves.

Thomas Keating

ESSENTIAL.

NOT-ESSENTIAL.

Why prayer?

To give young people experiences that will result in greater self worth and confidence.

Why prayer?

To help young people understand their connectedness to God and their connectedness to the rest of the world.

Why prayer?

To help young people understand their connectedness to God and their connectedness to the rest of the world.

Isaiah 30.15

In stillness and quiet there lies your strength.

Psalm 107:30

Then they were glad because they were quiet, And he brought them to the haven they longed for.

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

LORD, MAKE US SALTSALT

Stop things

from going

Wrong.

Lord, make us salt

Make our minds and all our senses alert to seeing your strategies for the kingdom.

To choose your paths in salty service: to stand in the way of wrong, to prevent evil where we can see it rearing its head, to protect the weak, the poor, the left our, the pushed aside.

LORD, MAKE US SALTSALT

Help make

good flavours

stongs

Lord, make us salt

Bring out the strong salty flavours of your gospel in our lives, in our conversations, in our decisions, in our caring and our creating.

LORD, MAKE US SALTSALT

Help to healLord, make us salt

May our presence in our communities, our churches, our relationships be an agent of your healing. Heal the brokenness around us, and heal the wounds within us.

The best gift you can give children is time and conversation.
