VISION“People without a vision shall perish.” In my

fourth year as the Athletic Director for all programs, I think it would be very appropriate for me to share the vision of Dobson High School Athletics. This year we would like to focus on “The Pursuing Victory With Honor”Campaign by implementing the “Six Pillars of Character “Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

I would like to for our team to continue to be competitive in athletics. We are in the second year, of the Freshman Academy for both Football and Wrestling. In addition, Boys and Girls Basketball teams will operate on a pseudo Academy this year where they are self-contained during 5th and 6th hours. Also, we will continue with 6th Hour for Boys Soccer. I

Vision Continued I would like to continue to educate our

student-athletes and parents about the Arizona Interscholastic Association and NCAA Clearing House procedures and the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

In addition, it is my hope to establish a community within our own athletic programs during year one. We will continue this “tradition” by hosting three banquets annually; fall, winter, and spring. At the banquets, all athletes will be recognized with special recognition going to our coaches and student athletes who will receive Region, State, and All-American honors.

PERSISTENCENothing in the world can take the place of

persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence alone has solved and will solve the problems of mankind.Calvin Coolidge

whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and an athlete humanized or dehumanized.
