Upload of the PCT application package

(1) Creation of PCT application package using PCT-SAFE Application documents attached to the request form Signed with a digital certificate to create a Wrapped Application

Signed Package (WASP) and saved locally

(2) Separate upload of the PCT application directly to the receiving Office Open the application folder and copy the .zg1 file for upload to

receiving Office’s e-filing service Transmission receipt after submission

Upload function managed exclusively by the receiving Office

Examples of receiving Offices using a separate upload function Australia (RO/AU), Canada (RO/CA), Israel (RO/IL)

Electronic signatures for PCT e-filing

Alphanumeric or text string signature: /John Doe/

Facsimile signature: scanned signature (.tif format)

Enhanced electronic signature: Applied using a digital certificate Required on the request form in order to upload the

application package to the RO’s e-filing service
