Furniture is movable objects in a room that are used for sitting,

function, and for decoration. Furniture makes a room more

comfortable for those in it.

2. Support Human Body to Relax

3. Can be used for storage purpose

4. Helps decorate a room

5. Makes a room comfortable for living

Classification of Furniture

There are mainly four types of furniture

1. Storage

2. Seating

3. Surfaces

4. Spaces

1. Storage Furniture

Storage furniture are mainly used for store or hold objects.

Such as: Armoire, Bookshelf, Shoe rack, Wardrobe etc

As an example this picture shows it’s use in a Library

2. Seating Furniture

Seating furniture helps humans to seat or relax on them.

Such as: Chair, Sofa, Bench etc.

As an example this picture shows how a man relaxing on a chair

3. Surfaces Furniture

Surfaces furniture helps hold objects for us.

Such as: Coffee Table, Tea Table, Table etc.

As an example this picture shows a child drinking tea on table.

4. Spaces Furniture

Spaces furniture are generally big and needs some spaces.

Such as: Bed, Reading Table, Dining Table etc.
