You cannot

uneducate the

person who has

learned to read.

This presentation is dedicated to Joaquin Luna and other DREAMers who we’ll

see on the other side.

Every year, about

65,000 high school

graduates ask the

same question.

Now what?

no access to higher

education

no access to jobs

no access to basic

needs

But there’s more!

A life in fear.

being ripped apart

from your loved

ones…

constant threat of

deportation.

DREAM would

alleviate this.

DREAM

d_evelopment,

r_elief, and

This is not who

it’s intended to

benefit!

The “alien

minors” are just

as American as

you and me.

DREAM is not an

‘amnesty’

…but a pathway

to earned

residency

must have

entered the U.S.

as a child*

must have lived in

the U.S. for five

consecutive years

must have

graduated from

high school*

be of ‘good moral

character’

To earn a way to

legalization…

1. finish at least

two years* of

college.

or

2. serve in the

military for two

years

and then…

apply for

permanent

residency

Despite what

Arizona…

…and Alabama

say… photo credit: Associated Press

In America,

immigration is a

federal issue.

Education,

however, is a

state matter.

States can choose

to whom to give

in-state tuition or

financial aid.

California

Maryland

Texas

Some states,

however, deny

this opportunity

completely.

We have seen

the future, and

the future is

ours.
