Point A point is something that has a

position but takes up no space or volume. It usually defines a line segment’s endpoints or a positions on a plane.

Line Segment

A line segment is a broken part of a line with two endpoints

Plane

A plane is a flat surface created by at least three or more points. When 3 points make a plane they are coplanar.

Angle

An angle occurs when two rays with the same endpoint jut out in different directions.

Perpendicular Lines

Perpendicular Lines are two lines that intersect at a 90 degree angle.

Triangle

A triangle is a closed figure with three sides and three angles.

Right Triangle

A right triangle is a triangle with a 90 degree angle.

Pentagon

A closed figure with five sides and five angles

Hexagon

A closed figure with six sides and six angles

Square

A square is a closed figure with four equal sides and four equal angles.

Rectangle

A rectangle is a four sided figure with two pairs of two equal sides, and four equal angles

Trapezoid

A quadrilateral figure with two parallel sides and two sides that are not parallel.

Parallelogram

A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel lines and two pairs of congruent angles

Circle

A circle is a closed plane curve consisting of all the points in a set distance

Cylinder

A cylinder is a three dimensional figure with two circles as a base

Sphere

A sphere is a three dimensional figure created by the revolution of a semicircle rotated 360 degrees about its axis.

Triangular Prism

A triangular prism is a three dimensional figure with tow triangles for bases

Vertex

A vertex is a point that connects two or more lines that make a shape or figure.

Line

A line is a flat extension that has no width an goes on forever in both directions
