Background

Barack Hussein Obama II is the 44th and current president of the United States. He has been in office since 2009 and is the first African American to take office. President Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961 and is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School where he was president of the Harvard Law Review.

President Obama was sworn into office on Tuesday January 20, 2009 which was held in Washington D.C. to start Barack’s first term. After his first term he was then re-elected in November 2012 and was sworn back into office on January 20, 2013.

Barack Obama is married to Michelle Obama and has 2 daughters who’s names are Malia Obama and Sasha Obama.

President Obama is stating the fact that America will stay strong and peaceful as long as we do it together.

President Obama’s constant use of the word “Together” Shows us, the people of the United States, how the United States can accomplish even the most difficult of task as long as it is done together .

This sentence would be an example of a hyperbole because he used the word flames when he was describing how harsh and cruel the battles were that these men and women have been in.
