Pressure Cooker Starting Up Part 1Here are some basic steps toward ge�ing you started with your new Yedi Pressure Cooker!
Remove all accessories and components from the box. Make sure there are no cracks,damage or missing elements.
For your safety, please thoroughly read through the Pressure Cooking Instruction Sheets and all enclosed material before using your new Yedi Pressure Cooker.
We recommend a trial-run using only water. This assures you (for safetysake), all functions are working properly and familiarizes you with all the steps needed to use you new Yedi Pressure Cooker.
Now you can begin cooking. Your recipes may require some ingredients to be sautéed before pressure cooking. Here’s how to begin.
Press SEAR/SAUTÉ on the control panel.Press SEAR/SAUTÉ again to adjust the temperature. After 10 seconds, your Yedi will “beep”.SEAR/SAUTÉ will begin now.SEAR/SAUTÉ your ingredients as your recipe instructs. Press CANCEL to end the SEAR/SAUTÉ function.

Pressure Cooker General Cooking TimesThese general cooking times are using the se�ing HIGH PRESSURE. Double check with your recipe to confirm times.
The ratios under the rice and oats are ratios to use depending on serving sizes. For example, for each cup of brown rice, you’ll need 1 cup of water (per serving), or for 1 cup of steel cut oats you’ll need 2 1/4 cups water for each serving. Please multiply to your needs and adjust according to taste.

Place your prepared ingredients in your Yedi Pressure Cooker. Lock the lid in place. Turn the steam valve handle to SEALING. You’ll hear a audio tune when the lid is set properly. Select your appropriate cooking program. Use the + or - bu�ons to adjust cooking times as recommended. A�er 10 seconds, your Yedi Pressure Cooker will beep and your program will begin cooking automatically.
When cooking is complete, it’s time to release the pressure. Most recipes tell you which method to use.
NATURAL RELEASE: Do nothing, the pressure releases on its own, quite slowly and safely.
When cooking with your Yedi Pressure Cooker, it is important to not fill your vessel past the maximum “marks.” The maximum full lines only apply to recipes that require pressure cooking.
CAUTION
CAUTION NEVER place hands, face or exposed skin over the steam release valvewhen releasing pressure/steam.NEVER block the steam valve or try to open the lid while the Pressure Cooker is running or releasing steam.
The two eggs racks, silicone gasket, glass lid, inner pot, ladles, measuring cup and steamer basket are all dishwasher safe.
NEVER immerse the Yedi Pressure Cooker base or the top lid in water. Make sure all valves are free of food and debris.
