THE BLUSH DRESS PROJECT

Dress, belt, and jewelry created by designer Mario Gómez based on pair

of boots provided by a client.

Project designed and completed in 45 hours in his design studio in Temple Terrace, Florida, USA.

Suede Italian boot decorated with metal rivets and Swarovski

crystals.

Belt design.

Punching holes for rivets and snaps after attaching suede to bag stiffener

with contact cement.

Hammering snaps and rivets.

Lining and belt prior to attaching them together.

Detail of finished belt with Swarovski crystals.

Beaded jasper cabochon.

Finished necklace with jasper beads, cultured pearls, glass beads, Swarovski

crystals, and a copper clasp.

Complete jewelry set with detail of beaded earrings with glass beads, Swarovski crystals, and

leopardstone.

Dress made of blush double Charmuse silk in a tunic cut with diagonal darts, and belt hole.

Finished outfit with accessories.

Special presentation made for my mother, the Designer Elis de Gómez (Elisita) by her son Mario Gómez in gratitude for all her love and teachings.

Very special appreciation to Robert Brinkmann (Bob) for his collaboration on the jewelry; and to María Ramírez (Rossy) for her collaboration on the construction of the dress.
