• Not something we typically do– Not a singing culture– Singing is more often done professionally– Some people are not “singers”

• A lot going on when we sing

• Maintain focus:– Singing is an act of worship just like…

• Lord’s supper• prayer

How to Improve our Singing:

• Increase in Learning– Ex. Singing lessons– Take opportunities to learn– Sit next to someone who you can learn from– Practice

• Sing to please God

We are not trying to please him

WE ARE SINGING TO PLEASE AND GLORIFY OUR GREAT

AND AWESOME LORD

How to Improve our Singing: Leading• Starting On Key• Be prepared• Take opportunities to learn• Singing with spirit and understanding• Do your Best

Singing as Children:• Often amazing how loud and proud

children will sing. – Without much understanding – Without much musical training – Without much musical experience or

familiarity of songs

Singing as Adults
