The Bridge has been designed to allow you to easily assemble hardware that is suitable for combining with software available from PilotAware Ltd to produce a portable PilotAware conspicuity device. The Bridge unit supplied has been specifically designed to operate at 868MHz and has been tested against and is compliant to ETSI EN 300-220. We have tested the parts supplied before they have been shipped to ensure that your entry into the PilotAware community is as smooth as possible.
However, it is very important to be aware that the parts are commercial quality and therefore should not under any circumstances be relied upon for mission or life critical applications. In using this Bridge and combining it with PilotAware software you must only use this in you aircraft on the understanding that the unit could fail at any time, without warning and therefore agree not to use it for mission or life critical applications. The information that it gives you is secondary and PilotAware gives absolutely no advice on how to navigate your aircraft in close proximity to others.
Note: it will only take 10 minutes the first time whilst the
software installs. Normal startup time is 1 to 2 minutes.
5. Opening the Config Page
Connect your navigation device to the PilotAware
WiFi that you saw in step 3. Open a browser and
type
http://192.168.1.1
in the title bar.
This will take you to the PilotAware Homepage.
Notice the “License Expired”
6. Adding the License
Press the Configure button at the top.
When the configuration page is shown, enter the License Key
obtained earlier into the boxes.
All characters are in the range 0-9 and A-F.
Specifically there is no letter “O”. This will be a
zero.
Note that some devices do not allow the overkeying of values
in text boxes and you will have to delete the zeros as you go.
Press Save at the bottom. The license will change from
“expired” to the expiry date in 1 years time.
You can configure other options on this page. More
information on how to do so is available in the full instructions
