IfnecessaryenterGeneral ModebypressingtheMODEbutton.UsetheUPandDOWNbuttonstomovethecursortoCapture Mode andthenpressOK.UsetheUPandDOWNbuttonstoselectSingle,Multiple or Movie.Singlemeansasinglephotographwillbetakenpertriggerevent,Multiplemeansthecamerawilltakeasequenceofseveralphotographspertriggerevent,usetheLEFTandRIGHTbuttontospecifyhowmanyphotosyouwantpersequence.Moviemeansthecamerawilltakeonevideoclippertriggerevent.YoucanspecifythelengthoftheclipusingtheVideoTimemenuoption.

8. uSIng the caMera8.1 MountIng the caMeraMountthecamera1.2to1.5metresofftheground,pointingataslightdownwardangle.Avoidmountingitfacingeastorwestastherisingorsettingsuncouldproducefalsetriggersandoverexposedimages.ClearbranchesandotherdebrisawayfromtheareainfrontofthecamerasoasnottoblockthecameralensorPIRsensor.

Insertthestrapthroughthestrapslotsontherearhousingandwrapthestraparoundthemountingsurface.Securethestrapandtightenthebuckleinordertosecurethecamera.

▲ Inordertoobtainproperweatherresistance,makesurethatbothdoorlatchesaresecurelylockedinplace.

8.2 SwItchIng onWhenyouturnonthecameraitautomaticallyentersSleep Modeandwillstarttakingphotographsorvideoafterthedelaytime(see6.6SettingCameraDelay).

8.3 adjuStIng pIr SenSItIVItyAdjustthePIRsensitivityrangefrom2metresto20metresbyusingthePIRsensitivityadjustmentdial.Atsetting1thePIRismostsensitive;at6itisleastsensitive.Notethattheactualdistanceatwhichthesensorwilldetectmovementcanvaryduetoenvironmenttemperature,objectsizeetc.

8.4 teStIng the caMera coVerage areaAftermountingthecameraenterSetup Mode:openthefronthousingandslidethepowerswitchtoON,presstheOKbuttontoenterGeneral Mode andthenclosethefronthousing.

Aredindicatorlightonthefront(theWorkingIndicator)willblinkasyouintrudethePIRcoveragearea.

AdjustthecamerapositionandPIRsensitivityasneededandrepeattestinguntilyou’rehappywiththePIRcoveragearea.
