This is a LEGEND for your DARS

OK

This is the first requirement. If you had finished it, it would be green and say “OK” but since it is read you have to follow the instructions.

Your DARS will tell you exactly where you are.

And what you have done (this area shows if you have any transfer credits)

Every student must have 36 credits of 300 or 400 level classes.

Every student needs a least 30 PARKSIDE credits to graduate.

Skills are for Math and English

+If you finish one of these requirements but not the other, you’ll be able to see the “+”.

Every student needs ENGL101. You may have to work your way up to ENGL101. 1) ACSK0902) ENGL1003) ENGL101

Every student needs MATH111 or MATH102(talk to your advisor about the difference!)

You may need to work your way up.1)ACSKA0102)ACSKA0153)Math111/102

Your first list of General Education classes.

You need at least 12 credits.

From at least three different departments.

It will keep track of how many you have left.

These are the different departments to chose from.

When you pick a department, ONLY the classes listed will count towards General Education

If you click on the Hyperlink it will take you to the CATALOG, if you scroll to the back of the CATALOG you can read about the class.

This is the next section of General Education classes. Here is an example of what it looks like once you’ve taken some classes.

This is the 3rd and final area of General Education. Remember to follow the same rules. 12 credits, 3 different departments.

Foreign Language requirement and rules.

This is not a class but an online tutorial you will need to complete within your first 30 credits (first year).

Every student needs to take an Ethnic Diversity Class. You can find them all over the course catalog (check your gen-eds!)

The blue shows you what it looks like in the course schedule.

The next area may show you this or it will show you the requirements for your major!

Last is your GPA!

1) Your Parkside GPA and classes taken. This determines your Academic Standing.

2) Your Transfer GPA

3) Your Cumulative, a combination of both. Needs to be a 2.0 to graduate.
