• Make avoiding harm easy• If you face specific risk from a slides,
flooding, fire: mitigate in advance!• Help Responders:
– Easy to find your location– your gas, electrical and water shut off– Someone who has specific information
about your facility-put up contact information/phone.
Don’t go it alone!
• Your residents are your best resource– Manage expectations– Build into communication from move in– Encourage & reward self motivation
• There are partners in your community: – Local Red Cross– Local Emergency Management/Fire
